Girl Band in aid of Pieta House – At Vicar Street
The four-piece Irish rock band Girl Band are playing at Vicar Street this Friday. Rusangano Family and Lynched will be supporting them on the night.
DJ sets by James Vincent McMorrow, Geoff Travis (Rough Trade) & Aisling O’Riordan.
Proceeds will go to Pieta House, a non-profit suicide and self-harm crisis centre. Pieta House offers free counseling to people who are feeling suicidal, people who are engaging in self-harm and those bereaved by suicide.

VOTING RULES A) Two bands will proceed from each heat (total of seven heats). B) One band will be chosen based on crowd votes, by purchasing the official Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses Ireland voting slips for €3.00. Once you have voted, you MUST submit your vote no later than 15 mins after the final band has performed. You can submit your voting slip at any time during each event. C) One band will be chosen by the official Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses judges which will include guest judges (TBC). D) The chosen bands will then be scheduled to play one of the three semi-finals.

Terrence Parker – At Wigwam
Terrence Parker will be playing the best of his house music at Wigwam this Saturday. The DJ has become legendary for his quite uncommon yet skilful turntablism style of playing house music. TP has also become widely admired because he uses an actual telephone handset as headphones.
Terrence’s high quality of music productions, remixes, and DJ skill has been recognized by organizations such as the Detroit Historical Museum’s History of Techno International Exhibit, and Indiana State University’s Department Of African American Music And Culture. TP’s collective musical works and pioneering efforts have been recognized as a valuable contribution to Detroit’s music history, as well as the International History Dance Music.
TP’s incredible DJing talents have been heard on radio networks throughout the world such as on Superfly FM in Vienna/Austria, Channel 955 FM’s “The Pulse” (Detroit’s No # 1 Pop/Urban FM Radio Station) and FM 98 WJLB’s “Club Insomnia” Mix Show (Detroit’s # 1 Hip Hop Station).

This Saturday Friend Within will be playing at the Button Factory. With releases on Dirtybird and PETS and remixes for the cream of modern music talent such as Fenech-Soler and Mausi already under his burgeoning belt, this is one producer already impossible to pigeonhole and difficult to ignore since bursting onto the scene in early 2013.
Seemingly arriving from nowhere, Friend Within has made a lot of friends in a very short space of time. From guesting on T.Williams Rinse FM show to radio plays by Skream & Benga, Annie Mac, B Traits, Mistajam, DJ Cameo and Monki as well as having already DJ’ed in pretty much every major city in the UK, there’s no denying the dent this mysterious producer has made.

Audi Dublin International Film Festival 2017
The Audi Dublin International Film Festival is Ireland’s premier event taking place in February each year.
It has built a formidable reputation for delivering to audiences the very best in international film and film talent. Its core elements include a select programme of the most exciting international cinema currently on offer, the best new Irish cinema, a retrospective of much loved and forgotten classics, a focus on screenwriting and unique access to a plethora of international film making talent including actors, writers and directors and behind the scenes talent. Festival of Russian Culture
The festival has been running in Dublin since 2010 and has become an integral part of the city’s vibrant cultural life. The festival celebrates the end of winter and beginning of spring with the Pancake Week (Maslenitsa) before the long and very strict Orthodox Lent begins.
The festival provides an opportunity to experience the rich Russian culture. Its programme is packed full of concerts, talks, readings, lectures, master classes, tea parties, Russian lessons with fun, open days in schools and many more. Many Dublin City Council’s venues will host the festival events and the programme looks very exciting.

A Night of Pulp Fiction with The Royale Family
