The Dublin Blues, Roots and Brass Festival is an annual event happening in Whelan’s. This year’s festival is supported by the good people in Failte Ireland, the music enthusiasts at O’Hara’s Irish craft brewery, and IMRO, the back bone of Irish music makers.

Fjaak – Live at Index
The Berlin trio Fjaak is back to Dublin this Friday after an amazing show at Hangar late last year. However, this time the show was taken to the raw and ravey settings of Index.
The boys have been busy and have since released a full album, which also features a little input from Rødhåd. Gritty, breakbeat, techno rave is the order of the day.

If you are looking for a free party for Sunday, check out what’s on at The Workman’s!
The venue will have live music from 8pm with 3 brilliant music acts to get you going. First up, Daniel John Paxton will be bringing you his own twist on indie/Americana/ alt-folk. Next, expect an ethereal, mammoth wall of sound from epic band Sun Mahshene. Finally, set your faces to stunned for the awesome This Other Kingdom, Dublin’s finest psychedelic outfit offer an intriguing combination of neo-psychedelia with splashes of garage rock.
Later on there will be The Workman’s Karaoke Club and on the first floor you will find 80’s, 90’s and 00’s music and alternative tunes, psych sounds, Manchester music and indie classics.

The Dublin International Tattoo Convention bring together people who share an interest in tattoos and piercing. You will have the opportunity to meet and hang out with thousands of other people interested in tattoos! The tattoo culture itself is amazing and full of open-minded people. Great opportunity to get out and actually meet people. It is also a chance to network and exchange information on the latest techniques and trends.
There are booths with products and services, competitions and contests, giveaways, seminars and workshops related to tattoo industry issues. There’s also food, drink and entertainment. Keep an eye on the facebook page for more details.

Nasty Women Opening Event
Nasty Women Dublin is a fundraising exhibition that celebrates the strength and diversity of art by female artists in Ireland, and which acts to promote the cause of women’s rights, in particular reproductive rights and The Campaign to Repeal the 8th Amendment.
All works are kindly donated by artists and will be for sale for less than €100 with proceeds going to Coalition to Repeal the Eighth Amendment and Artists’ Campaign to Repeal the Eighth Amendment.
Collaborators include Repeal Project, The HunReal Issues, Eve DJs &Telephones.
