Mad One is a debut short film by Ciarán Moran and is a dark comedy about a young man’s struggle to get away with a lie.

The story revolves around Jim Doyle. Having disappeared for five days after a music festival, he returns home safe and well. His tale of what happened garners some unwanted attention and questions are raised. Finally…it’s time for Jim to face the music.

Mad One has an incredible cast that includes Seán Doyle (Killing Bono, Normal People), Áine Ní Laoghaire (Dublin Murders, Young Offenders), Sharon Coade (Sweetness in the Belly, Fair City), Seamus O’Rourke (Shining City, The Beauty Queen of Leenane), Aidan O’Sullivan (Follow the Dead) and Peter Cassidy (Hardy Bucks), along with introducing Conor Murphy and Neil O’Brien.
