LOAH: “This Heart” EP Launch – At The Sugar Club
Ensemble Music is extremely proud to present the long-awaited launch of Loah’s debut EP This Heart and her first Dublin headline show in almost 2 years!
Ever since she first landed on the scene 3 years ago, the Irish/Sierra Leonean ArtSoul singer has been hailed as one of Ireland’s most unique musical prospects – performing at Electric Picnic, Body&Soul, the National Concert Hall, Vicar Street, Other Voices, SXSW, and in Paris and New York despite not having a single official release to her name.
In that time she’s developed a loyal following, while carefully crafting her songs into a distinct sound, bringing together her West African roots, classical training, funk/soul songwriting, and her super-group of jazz musicians to create a totally singular style she calls “Art Soul”. Her “This Heart” EP is the culmination of that process – one which has prioritized mature reflection over haste.
Special guest Farah Elle will open for Loah on the night!
