Wyvern Lingo’s long-awaited debut album, simply called Wyvern Lingo, will be released on 23rd February 2018.
“These songs are a collection of experiences both separate and shared. Experiences that shape how we view the world, and how we’ve come to terms with the way our lives have unfolded.” – Wyvern Lingo
The trio made up of Saoirse Duane, Caoimhe Barry and Karen Cowley are known for their soulful, passionate and haunting live show. “Wyvern Lingo are one of the few bands that can get you dancing with a full band of keys, guitar, synth bass and drums or make you melt when they strip the set back to a capella”.
County Wicklow trio gave us a taste of their upcoming debut album with the release of three singles this year: “ I Love You, Sadie”, “Out Of My Hands” and “Snow II”. Taking influences from pop, folk and R’n’B the band self-released their first EP, “The Widow Knows” in 2014, which brought them to the attention of Irish independent label Rubyworks. Extensive international touring followed with James Vincent McMorrow and fellow Bray native Hozier, and a second EP “Letter To Willow”, followed in 2016.
Over the last few years Wyvern Lingo have performed at countless festivals, the last one being “Other Voices”. This festival was a remarkable and special moment for them and also for their audience, a dream come true.
To coincide with the release of the album, Wyvern Lingo will embark on their biggest headline tour to date, across Ireland, the UK, Germany and The Netherlands.
