Good news for those who love films! On Sunday, 28th January, Filmbase will be hosting The inaugural Elevation Indie Film Awards, a day of the best of Irish and international indie cinema! Each screening will start with a complimentary wine reception.
The difficulties surrounding showcasing an Indie Film in commercialized festivals means that some great movies are not given the credit they so richly deserve, so the Elevation Indie Film Awards has been set up to do just that.
The films do not compete against each other as in traditional festivals, they judge each film on it’s own merit and so they are simply looking for quality.
