The
New Music is an Independent Feature Film written and directed by Chiara Viale about a struggling pianist and a punk band who try to help him live again through love and music.
The film was made in Association with Young Parkinson’s Ireland. 20% of their crowdfunding campaign was donated to Young Parkinson’s Ireland as will all potential earnings. Their hope is to raise awareness about neurological diseases, and show that such things can happen to us at any age, no matter who we are.
Synopsis:
When 25 year old piano prodigy Adrian (Cilléin Mc Evoy) gets diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson’s Disease, his life is completely derailed. Failing to cope with his new situation, Adrian moves into a flat in Dublin with Will (Jack Fenton), David (Patrick O’Brien) and Jodie (Martina Babišová). Once his new housemates learn about his musical past, they offer him a spot as the keyboard player in their punk rock band – The Cellmates.
