The musical CABARET is coming to Dublin and will be on at Bord Gáis Energy Theatre this week.

Slam Sunday – Live Spoken Word Poetry Competition
If you love writing poems this your chance to show them to other people and maybe win a prize! The live slam poetry competition will take place at Filmbase this Sunday, from 6:30 pm,
There will be an open sign up on the night for 8 of the 12 slots. Sign up for poets is at the ticket desk on the night between 6-6.15pm. The first 20 people to sign up get into the show for free.
The main rules are: poems must be original, under 3 minutes and memorised. You will need 2 poems to compete (opening round then final).

Let’s Make a Scene! Our Stage is Yours
If you are a passionate actor and want your work to be seen , then check this out. Let’s Make a Scene is similar to an “Open Mic” event for musicians and spoken word artists but is just for actors, comedians and improvisers.
It is a live platform for actors, comedians, improvisers, slammers, etc… to freely to present, test, showcase or display their work to an audience (scene, monologue, sketch, reading, new material or in production, etc…) and create a momentum prompting exchange and collaboration between artists of different media who sharing a passion. The event happens one Thursday per month.
